TRADE MARKETING AND SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

Keeps promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements with graphics department; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt

  • Always ensure print materials are up to date with current brand updates i.e. can design changes
  • Co-ordinate with graphic designer any updated changes and submit for approval
  • Determine needs for sales staff and order print materials, i.e sell sheets
  • Costing - due diligence on larger print items to ensure we are getting the best price
  • Inventory of on hand items at brewery to ensure reps always have materials as needed
  • On premise giveaways will be managed by Courtney (hats, tees, coasters, glassware, etc..) Specifically, inventory of items and re-ordering. Any new P.O.S. will need to be presented and only ordered after approved
  • All decisions for items to be sold at our retail store will be handled by the Retail Manager

Supports sales staff by providing creative material upon request by the reps. Coordinating requirements with graphics department, placing order and verifying receipt

  • Be the liason between the rep and graphic designer on customized jobs
  • Seek via sales staff final approval by the customer for all custom jobs
  • Costing - due diligence on larger print items to ensure we are getting the best price
  • Ordering and set up of delivery of completed items

Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; locally, provincially, and national

  • Update sales team on a monthly basis of new product being launched in the market place
  • Identify the advertsing plan of new releases (competitor), pricing and where it would sit in a competitive set (against SHBC or OCB)
  • Research competitive social media strategies

Present updates at quarterly sales meetings in regards to ongoing projects and social media direction

  • If and when called upon, give direction to sales staff of what is working for promos and any customer activities that we did that stood out**use positive examples and success stories
  • Update on any social media direction, i.e themed days, starting a new showcase
  • Feedback to reps of what gets the most views / likes and on what platform

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading trade publications, attending conferences

  • Courses pertaining to job as specified in this roles and responsibilities outline

Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests

  • These requests time to time will come via Manager and details will be outlined on a case by case basis
  • Projects will include; new brands in our different seasonal categories and the creation of content for sales and social media

Administrate the creation and execution of relevant, original, high-quality content to help build brand and increase sales

  • Build and plan out On Premise programming
  • Build a business case, i.e. cost of program vs. potential os sales increase
  • Include all key points on execution of deliverables to sales team, i.e timing of program, materials, expectations, sell sheets for bar staff, etc…
  • Costing - due diligence on promotional items to ensure we are getting the best price

Create a monthly newsletter for all staff to be “in the know” about sales, operations, HR, and our people for Spearhead Enterprises

  • Seek input from various departments for content

Identify and improve organizational development aspects that would improve content (ie: employee onboarding)

  • Onboarding document and with relation to sales material in our Employee handbook should be updated quarterly i.e new brands
  • Create a monthly Social Media publishing schedule

Create content on themes, product (including releases), brewery related items, events, retail and On Premise on all platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Trip Advisor)

  • Manage our Untappd site by updating brand content and work with retail on updates in regards to releases and pricing
  • Seek input from all departments for content creation
  • Monthly content calendar plan is do on the first business day of every month

Promote content through social advertising

  • Work with an budget ($ T.B.D.) per year to increase likes on the various platforms to help grow our overall followers so our reach can be greater for content
  • Provide status updates on ongoing projects on a weekly basis
  • Provide updates on any projects that are currently being worked on for reps
  • Provide updates on “whats on deck” this week for social media
  • Provides updates on any other projects
  • On any project, please include; status, timeline, execution date, rep and territory name
